Thomsons – How to get a great deal on a Thomsons Cruise

You know the way it is, you’ve decided that you’re interested in a cruise but you’re a little unsure of which area of the world to actually cruise and also, which company to go with. Let me tell you, if you’re a first time cruiser then you should not feel alone and let me say just one thing right now, all the cruise companies a great and which ever cruise you decide upon, you will have a great time.

Discounts from Thomsons? Down to the nitty gritty;

In todays business climate I like to make sure I get a good deal for my money, and I mean a GOOD DEAL, and given this article is aimed mainly at the first time cruise I will pick my favourite cruise line, Thomsons, owned by the Tour operator of the same name.

(www.thomson.co.uk)

Thomsons offer an excellent selection of cruises from one of their 5 cruise ships, 4 of which sail as “Thomsons” vessels and the 5th sails under the “Island Cruises” flag. I can guarantee you one thing for sure, no matter what your age, nationality or likes and dislikes, Thomsons have a cruise for you. They are equally at home offering activities and excursions for families with toddlers as they are with offering “adults-only” cruises with a more risque nature. ;-) If you get my drift…

Getting the best deal from Thomsons;

Like everything in life, going direct to the manufacturer only saves you money if you buy in bulk and it is no different with cruise companies, so if you want some savings over the retail price then you need to use a travel agent, or in the case of cruises, a specialist agent that only supplies cruises, a Cruise Agent.

These cruise agents in many cases purchase block bookings from the cruise lines at preferential prices due to volume, they then sell these cruises throughout the year with a view to making as much as possible, yet still selling for less than the cruise operator themselves.

There is another bonus that the savvy wood-be cruiser can get, free stuff. It is amazing how many of these agents are given freebies to give away, just to entice them to sell more cruises, so it pays to ask, $100 of extra spending money can come in really handy, especially if you’re a bit of a drinker like me.

My favourite agent is Cruise Direct, they’re really good at finding those great deals plus they are one of the, largest, if not THE largest supplier of cruises in the UK, so they’re well placed to barter you an awesome deal from the operator.

Mention you’re part of Thomson Gold, perhaps some extra bonus’s for you. ;-)
